Hello, The thing is I was first diagnosed with typhoid, I was treated and upon treatment completed in hospital I was told I have ulcer, and was given drugs (amoxicillin, omeprazole and clarithromycin, I used that and stopped after feeling well after 5 days, then 2weeks later I started to have stomach ache, so I went to lab and was told I have ulcer again and hpylori, so I was told to buy drugs, I started another drug again - amoxicillin, nexium and rifabon for 10 days. I used it completely. So the pharmacist gave another drug to continue (rabeprazole for 3month and unienzyeme for few days) But the issue currently now: I still have stomach ache and sensations that feels wrong. Please what can i do. Am still on the 3rd medication rabeprazole & unienZyme |

Thank you for sharing your concerns. It is common for symptoms like stomach pain or discomfort to persist for some time even after treatment for a Helicobacter pylori infection and a **Peptic Ulcer Disease. One important point is that the first course of antibiotics was stopped after only 5 days, which may have allowed the infection to continue or return. Although you have now completed another full course of treatment, the stomach lining may still be healing, which can cause ongoing discomfort. Since you are currently taking Rabeprazole, it helps reduce stomach acid and supports ulcer healing, but recovery can take several weeks. I recommend continuing the prescribed medication exactly as advised and avoiding irritants such as spicy food, alcohol, smoking, and excessive caffeine. Eating small, regular meals may also help reduce symptoms. However, because your pain is still present, it would be best to follow up with a gastroenterologist. Your doctor may recommend a repeat **H. pylori Test (such as a stool antigen test or urea breath test) to confirm whether the infection has been fully cleared, or consider further evaluation if needed. If the pain becomes severe, or you experience vomiting, black stools, or weight loss, please seek medical care immediately. Wishing you a quick recovery. |
