It is possible to give birth to a healthy baby during pregnancy even with fibroids, but this condition requires careful medical supervision. The outcome largely depends on the size and location of the fibroid and the stage of your pregnancy. Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in or around the uterus. While they are generally harmless, in some cases they can cause complications during pregnancy. Certain types and locations of fibroids may affect the baby, especially if a fibroid is located close to the baby and puts pressure on the uterus as it grows. When you visit your doctor during pregnancy, they will evaluate your condition and provide appropriate advice. They will assess your pregnancy stage, the size and location of the fibroid, your overall health, and other relevant factors to determine the best course of medical care for you. If your fibroid is impacting your pregnancy, your doctor will ensure you receive organized and regular medical care. They will inform you about the available treatment options depending on your fibroid’s condition and closely monitor the progress of your pregnancy. If you are pregnant and concerned about fibroids, it is important to consult your doctor first. They will provide the right guidance and help address any of your concerns. |
