To treat UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), the following measures can be adopted: Medications: Antibiotic medicines are commonly used to treat UTIs. Follow the medication and dosage as prescribed by your doctor. Also, take the medicines only on your doctor’s advice and be sure to complete the full course. Avoid restricted substances: During treatment, avoid restricted substances like caffeine, spicy and tangy foods, and alcohol. These can worsen the UTI condition. Drink plenty of water: Keep your body well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. This helps flush out the urinary tract and reduces the chances of the infection spreading. Clean the urinary area properly: Whenever possible, clean the genital area properly after using the bathroom or after urination. Empty your bladder completely when urinating, and maintain good feminine hygiene practices. Use a warm compress: You can use a warm pad on your lower abdomen to relieve pain and reduce infection. This can provide you with comfort. Follow your doctor’s advice: If you are suffering from a UTI, you should follow your doctor’s recommendations. They will assess your condition and provide the most appropriate and personalized treatment plan. In addition to this, good hygiene, a healthy diet, and regular exercise can also help in preventing UTIs. |
