| Harshita | Hello Dr. I am 26 years old. I was diagnosed with a 4cm*3cm intramural fibroid in june, 14. then in dec, 14, it was of 5.5cm*3cm. i have symptoms such as heavy, clotted, painful periods. Since last 5-6 months, i have been experiencing bleeding between periods, which i know is a common symptom of fibroids. I was experiencing much relief in my periods since last 2-3 months due to medication. But this month, i again had a terrible periods despite of taking medicines, which helped me earlier. why did it happen. is my fibroid still growing. a matter of bigger concern is that just after finishing my last period (a week ago), i am having excessive vaginal discharge, sometimes with blood. it was clear watery earlier, now sticky yellow. It is so heavy that i consume 2-3 pads a day. Is there any chance that i have uterine sarcoma? |

| Dr. J S Chowhan | Dear Harshita Your fibroid is increasing in size and you also have menorrhagia. In this circumstance a MRI scan of the Pelvis is needed for taking a decision for Laparoscopic Myomectomy i.e. the removal of the fibroid. Thanks With Regards Dr J S Chowhan |

| Dr Rahul Pandey | Dear Kamya, These fibroids are made up of groups of muscle cells and other tissues, and can range in size from as small as a pea to as large as 5 to 6 inches (12.7 to 15.24 centimeters) wide. |
