I have acidity and stomach pain here and there. I also have gastric disorder. Sometimes I don't have gas, there is a very strange smell that comes out sometimes and I have not consulted a doctor at this time about this condition although I have attended some for the gas and it is almost eradicated from my system now. |

Based on your symptoms — acidity, stomach pain on and off, gastric disorder, and occasional strange-smelling gas — it seems like your digestive system is still a bit sensitive even though the major gas issue is mostly resolved. It's good that you've taken steps and are feeling better, but since you're still facing occasional problems, a doctor’s advice can help avoid further complications. Here are some suggestions: You should see a gastroenterologist, a specialist for stomach and digestion-related issues. Since you've had long-term acidity and gas issues, they may recommend tests like: Abdominal ultrasound Endoscopy (to check for ulcers, gastritis, or acid reflux damage) Stool or blood test (to check for infections or food intolerances) Possible Causes Acid Reflux (GERD): Can cause burning, pain, and unusual gas. H. pylori infection: A common stomach bacteria causing acidity and bad-smelling gas. Food intolerance: Like lactose or gluten, can trigger odd-smelling gas and pain. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS): Causes irregular gas, pain, and discomfort. Lifestyle Suggestions Eat small, frequent meals. Avoid oily, spicy, and sour foods. Stay away from carbonated drinks, tea, and coffee. Walk for 10–15 minutes after meals. Drink plenty of water. Avoid lying down immediately after eating. Medicines A doctor might prescribe: Antacids for acidity Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) like omeprazole Probiotics to balance gut bacteria |
