Fallopian tube adhesions usually happen due to infections (like pelvic inflammatory disease), past surgeries, or conditions like endometriosis. These adhesions can block or damage the tubes, preventing the sperm and egg from meeting. Step 1: Diagnosis First, a proper diagnosis is important. Your doctor may recommend tests like: Hysterosalpingography (HSG): An X-ray test to see if the tubes are open. Laparoscopy: A minor surgery using a camera to look directly at the tubes and remove adhesions. Step 2: Treatment Options If the adhesions are mild: Laparoscopic Surgery can help remove or clear the adhesions, improving the chances of natural pregnancy. If the adhesions are severe or tubes are badly damaged: IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is a good option. In IVF, eggs are taken from the ovaries and fertilized in a lab. The embryo is then placed directly into the uterus, bypassing the fallopian tubes. Healthy Lifestyle Advice: Eat a balanced diet and maintain a healthy weight. Avoid smoking and alcohol. Reduce stress with yoga or meditation. Talk to a Fertility Specialist: Visit a fertility clinic or a gynecologist who specializes in infertility. They will guide you on the best treatment based on her condition. |
