During jaundice and liver infection, it is essential to pay special attention to your diet. Here are some suggestions that can help you: Hydration: Drink plenty of water. Consume coconut water, fresh fruit juices (without added sugar), and lemon water. Fruits and Vegetables: Eat fresh fruits like apples, papaya, and melon. Include vegetables such as carrots, spinach, beetroot, and tomatoes in your diet. Protein: Eat light and easily digestible protein sources such as lentils, moong dal (green gram), and masoor dal (red lentils). Consume egg whites, fresh cottage cheese (paneer), and yogurt. Fiber: Eat whole grains such as oats, porridge, and brown rice. Include fiber-rich fruits and vegetables in your meals. Fats: Use healthy fats like olive oil, flaxseed oil, and coconut oil. Avoid fried and heavy fatty foods. Ayurvedic and Herbal Remedies: Take neem, turmeric, and giloy (after consulting a doctor). Amla (Indian gooseberry) and aloe vera juice can also be beneficial. Avoid Toxic Substances: Stay away from alcohol, caffeine, and tobacco. Do not consume processed foods, junk food, or sugary items. Small and Light Meals: Instead of heavy meals, eat small and light meals multiple times a day. Avoid fried and spicy foods. Consume Fresh Homemade Food: Eat fresh and light food prepared at home. Include khichdi (rice-lentil porridge), soups, and lightly cooked vegetables in your diet. |
