I'm 16 years old. I was circumcised and it's fully healed without any marks, but it's very tight, and I have doubts about the changes at the front — I'm not sure if the circumcision was done correctly or not |

It’s understandable to have concerns after a circumcision, especially if things feel or look different than expected. At 16, your body is still developing, and it's normal to have questions. If the circumcision has healed without any infection or visible scarring, that’s a good sign. However, if the skin feels very tight or if there's discomfort when you get an erection or during everyday movements, it could mean the circumcision was too tight (a condition sometimes called “excessive circumcision”). As for changes at the front — such as the shape of the glans (head of the penis), how much skin is left, or if the scar line seems uneven — there can be natural variation. Still, if something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth checking. You don’t need to feel embarrassed. Consider visiting a urologist — a doctor who specializes in male genital health. They can examine the area and tell you if everything is okay or if any correction is needed. Many minor issues can be managed easily if caught early. Most importantly, avoid self-diagnosing or comparing yourself to others online. Everyone's body is unique, and a medical professional can give you accurate guidance. |
